Then Chaser made us our favorite oatmeal breakfasts and I picked up on my crocheting. I crocheted for 5 minutes and had to take a break because it's impossible for me to sit through anything for more than 5 minutes without wanting to kill myself from boredom no matter how exciting it is. So I turned to Netflix for a movie fix. Picked Singin' In The Rain because I absolutely adore Gene Kelly(HUBBA HUBBA). I have a thing for men in that era hence my obsession over Frank Sinatra, who is a regular on my iTunes and Pandora. Finally decided to wash my face and brush the teeth at 2:00 and danced around the house and down the stairs to the mailbox where I found a letter from COCO!!! It made my day Coco, THANK YOU!! Ran some errands, ate, didn't take a shower but what's new? Pretty boring day.. and it's not even near over... UGH!
Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-32235937683766231362009-12-06T22:22:00.001-08:002009-12-06T22:25:49.571-08:00a little discouraged. So this might sound like some sob story and that I'm trying to feel bad for myself(which I do) but oh well. As of late I have been noticing that almost every girl I know is pregnant.. I'm just a little sad because I want a baby. After having a very upsetting miscarriage last February I just feel the need to be around babies. I got my fix from my little niece(kinda niece) but since moving I'm sooo baby sick. Boo. Well hopefully sooner than later I will be joining the young mothers club but as for now we are waiting for our own house, stable jobs, and for Chase to start school. Oh boy.. it might be longer than I hope.Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-31092868123609887542009-12-04T15:33:00.001-08:002009-12-04T15:35:10.455-08:00SNOW!!Well it wasn't actually snow I woke up to but it was white and freezing and almost snow so it counts! I am really hoping for a beautiful white Christmas this year and its freakin cold enough to snow. Everyday its just dense fog and ICE, lots of ice. Snow is expected this week so I'm just hoping we will see some!!Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-23900830489565938592009-12-01T19:31:00.001-08:002009-12-01T19:32:39.249-08:00For Coco.
Here she is Coco my dear.

Don't mind me.. I'm soo excited to celebrate even though my family won't be here with us. I bought a calendar yesterday just so I could mark the days til the best day in the year( and yes I think Christmas is better than my birthday). I have my tree up and a few more decorations and can't wait til I get to open presents and make Chase a HUGE Christmas morning breakfast because he has never had one. I love starting our very own traditions :) Happy Christmas everyone(I'm saying Happy Christmas this year because I aspire to be British).Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-34528143129150664072009-11-26T09:31:00.000-08:002009-11-26T09:33:47.628-08:00HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone takes a minute to look at the positive things in their lives even with all the negative around us. Be grateful for those that love you and be sure to tell them what they mean to you. Enjoy this beautiful day!Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-24725702137026409232009-11-22T19:11:00.000-08:002009-11-22T19:17:22.100-08:00Hello from SAN FRANCISCO!! again :)Back on our way home from Arizona and had an amazing time seeing our family and friends. We kinda had an early Thanksgiving with Chase's family and had a blast. We are soo sad that we can't be home for the holidays but we will be celebrating as a married couple alone for the first time in 2 years. Weird. We can't wait til Christmas which is only like 30 days away which is insane!!! I looooove Christmas!! Well anyways, we are in San Francisco for the second time in a month. I guess we just love it here. Its a nice place to stop and break up the 15 hour drive from Arizona to Oregon. We just love it here. Hopefully one day we can live here permanently :) :) Well I guess the next time you will be hearing from us it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas!! How fast this year has flown!Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-92231053242317720212009-11-19T23:29:00.000-08:002009-11-19T23:31:57.069-08:00Thanksgiving....How sad.. this year we are going to be spending Thanksgiving alone in Oregon.. I have to plan a menu for 2. It's going to be a sad Thanksgiving. And we don't have a microwave or oven so this should be awesome.. We will probably be eating out NICE that afternoon.. and I don't mean at our house haha. I guess we do have a lot of things to be grateful for but it's not the same without my big, loud, insane family eating together. :(Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-18960460239276339182009-11-14T16:06:00.000-08:002009-11-14T16:10:28.074-08:00Ok I'm in love with theseSo I've become OBSESSED with crafts and craft blogs so when I came across this blog I just about died. If you know me you know I LOVE LOVE LOVE chocolate cake. I'm the biggest fan of it hands down. These are the best ideas for little kid's parties or even grow up parties. I just want to make millions of them although I know I would eat all of them.

www.bakerella.com this is the site. We have only been here a little over a month but I'm such a homebody that it makes it hard being away for a long time. Plus I miss my adorable little niece Ava and can't wait to snuggle her to death!! We are driving our Ford Focus back up to Oregon so we won't be stranded anymore and have to walk in the rain to buy groceries!! Thank goodness!

I have a really sad feeling about the holidays this year.. It's the first time we will be alone on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am in love with the holidays and spending them with family like I've done my ENTIRE life so this year is going to be a hard one for me. I am grateful I have Chase though because even though he hates Christmas and the music he lets me listen to it and watch Christmas movies already. He lets me celebrate and doesn't complain about it either so I'm glad I have him for that. I just can't wait to get a tree!!! YAY! Love Christmas and wish it would come sooner.
Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-18796580576901717422009-11-08T18:12:00.000-08:002009-11-08T18:30:10.688-08:00The Dreaded VanSO.................. the van.. the nasty, stupid, ridiculous van. UGH!!!

So it started having problems when we got into California on our move up here to Oregon. It started to overheat when we slowed down so we figured it was just the face that we had been driving for 4 hours straight without stopping so we pulled over and waited for like an hour.. and this continued to happen every time we slowed down. The temperature gauge would sky rocket and white smoke would come out the back(because the engine is in the back in VW's) and you could hear the coolant start to boil. It was a freakin mess and it caused our 11 hour drive to San Francisco turn into a 15 hour drive.. in weather that was insane. Hail, rain, 50 MPH wind, sand storms, and dense fog. Awesome.

Once we got into Oregon and let the car rest for a day it seemed fine until about a week into living here, the van had a really hard time starting. We figured because it was so much colder here than AZ that was the problem, until it started dying once we started it. We'd start it and it would chug and then die. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Needless to say it was obnoxious. So we took it into Sears Auto because it's literally across the street from us and so we could walk back and forth while it was being worked on. Well $500 later they tell us they "hopefully" fixed the problem. We started driving back home from the mall, which is about 5 minutes away, and in the middle of driving the car DIED!! Completely dies. So we are stranded in a parking lot.

We finally make it home and call Sears the next day and they tell us to bring it back in. So we do and they take a look and drive it around and say we can't find anything here try to drive it again and see what happens. We drive home and it seems fine so we decide it's time to take a trip to do laundry at the laundromat which is 5 minutes away too, everything is extremely close together here. We get about a block away and, yep you guessed it, the van dies. The guy from Sears comes out to take a look at it because now the car won't start AT ALL. He looks and says oh it must be the fuel pump has died and you aren't getting any gas to the engine.. (which I thought was the problem in the first place, not bad for a girl haha:)

We tow the van home and immediately put it for sale on craigslist. BAM!!! Within a few hours we have 2 calls. They come look and say they will call us back. Whatever. Liars. Within 2 days of putting it on craigslist we sold it for $2500 and now are looking at new cars. Thank goodness everything is so close that we can walk or ride our bikes.

Moral of the story: NEVER BUY A VOLKSWAGON!
Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-60596256221507876902009-11-02T21:02:00.000-08:002009-11-02T21:05:56.351-08:00Job.So I got a job. Finally. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to work again. I will be working at a store in the mall here called Justice. It's a store like Limited Too for girl's clothes. Cute stuff for little girls! I'm just so grateful to have a job in these times. It was supposed to be seasonal but the lady wants me to stay on permanently. YAY! Well that's really the only thing to update right now. We moved into a little apartment with a 6 month lease and are loving it. Everything is so different from Arizona.. There are sooo many one-way streets and you can turn left on red lights. It's weird getting used to but its a beautiful place to live. The weather is amazing as well. It's not like the Oregon that everyone has described to us, you know all the rain and no sun. It has only rained twice since we've been here and the clouds clear everyday around noon. It is starting to feel a lot more like fall though with the highs only in the 50's . We are so excited about our new home!! I have a few prospects for jobs and we are waiting for the holidays to be over before Chase starts looking in case the company decides they don't need him after the holidays are over. We are loving every minute of Oregon!!!Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-22196726265686239052009-10-16T19:06:00.000-07:002009-10-16T19:34:13.916-07:00San Francisco!!

Well we made it to Oregon finally after a trip to remember. We left on early early Tuesday morning and made it about 80 miles outside of LA and the Van decided that it would like to overheat and make us stop and wait for 45 minutes. So after that we had to stop every hour to let the car cool down before we could get on the road again. Luckily, we made it safely to our hotel in Livermore, CA about 20 minutes outside of San Francisco. We met up with one of Chase's closest friends, Tomas, who lives there and spent some time with him. He showed us around the city and it was awesome!!

Our journey began at Pier 39 in San Fran and it was

amazing! The pier was covered in the coolest little shops and restaurants that had some BOMB food. We ate huge bread bowls of Clam Chowder fresh from the ocean. Next we went to Haight Ashbury where the Summer of Love happened in 1967. It was the most amazing place to be. I could live there forever and be happy. The houses were beautiful and the people were super nice and friendly. We ate the most delicious pita and hummus from some tiny cafe. After that we all went to Berkeley and ate some incredible sushi near Cal State University. We watched a student create some amazing pictures with just spray paint. It was super cool to watch him free hand all these pictures.

We left for Oregon on Thursday morning and got to Medford early evening. We love it here. The weather is perfect and the city is so much like Pinetop. The trees are changing colors and the scenery everywhere is beautiful. If you have never been here I highly recommend visiting. We are looking for jobs and housing and have some prospects. We need to figure out w

hat ward we will be in and where the church house is. We are so blessed to be here and pray that we find good paying jobs in these hard times. We plan on living in Medford or Ashland because Southern Oregon University is in Ashland and we need to get our residency before we attend school. Chase will be going to school for his teaching degree in math/science/computers. He is a wiz. I don't have any plans of attending school right now but I do think I will go in a year or 2 to get my Esthetican license so I will be dually licensed.

We also bought the sweetest 89' VW bus. We plan on living in it for the first week until we find a house/apartment we really like and can decide on a town to stay in. It is going to be an incredible experience. I, for one, am so excited to be homeless for a while. I'm all about living simply and within your means and this is the perfect example for us.

I think that's all for now.

Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-78976478295173916922009-07-02T21:06:00.000-07:002009-07-02T21:13:09.611-07:00So another month has come and gone and I am terrible at keeping this thing updated!! Let me tell you all how our lives have been going the past month or so...

Chase and I have decided that school is the best option right now so we signed up for some online and some campus courses at MCC and planned on transferring to BYU Idaho in the winter. Who gave us this crazy idea of moving to Idaho in the dead of winter you ask?? My loving brother Cameron. SO we all decided the best choice for all of us would be to move in together and attend school together. All the meanwhile we are still living with Chase's parents and saving money (which we are now extremely grateful for doing) for a house and school and whatnot.

Well that idea was so last month so now we are moving FOR SURE to Couer d' Alene, Idaho!! WOO HOO! It's the most beautiful place on the planet I kid you not! We are planning to move there once I finish my first semester in the beginning of August with Cameron, who served his mission there. We will still be attending BYU-I but now in the spring instead of winter.

So there it is folks.
Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-43942557450577146812009-06-10T22:40:00.000-07:002009-06-10T22:45:02.867-07:00Back to school. So it seems to be that time again. We are wanting to go back to school. Who would've thought!! I'm going to either NPC or MCC for my RN and Charles is going to be a high school computer science teacher. We are hoping to move to Pinetop to go to school in Show Low due to the cheap tutition and cheap housing, but from the looks of it, we most likely won't be moving.

Chase is still looking for a job and has a few prospects so we have our fingers crossed!! Pray for us. We are still counting our blessings and loving our amazing families! Thanks for everything!! :)
Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1629019848305422464.post-88627467746543372412009-04-16T20:54:00.000-07:002009-04-16T21:00:55.643-07:00WE'RE BACK!!!
So I finally got the hang of this whole blog thing and I'm soo happy about it! I just love them! So here's a little update on what's going on in our lives. Chase will be leaving work for good on the 28th and hopefully he will be offered the job at University of Phoenix. I'm still working at the salon in Chandler and looking for something a little better but I am grateful for what I have. Life has thrown us some loops but we have taken them with optimisim and hope for the best to come from the bad. We are so grateful to our families who have helped us out immensely. We couldn't ask for better people in our lives! Well, that's about it for now, hopefully something more exciting will happen soon!Carroll Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12985444137499186254noreply@blogger.com0
