Hello from SAN FRANCISCO!! again :)
Back on our way home from Arizona and had an amazing time seeing our family and friends. We kinda had an early Thanksgiving with Chase's family and had a blast. We are soo sad that we can't be home for the holidays but we will be celebrating as a married couple alone for the first time in 2 years. Weird. We can't wait til Christmas which is only like 30 days away which is insane!!! I looooove Christmas!! Well anyways, we are in San Francisco for the second time in a month. I guess we just love it here. Its a nice place to stop and break up the 15 hour drive from Arizona to Oregon. We just love it here. Hopefully one day we can live here permanently :) :) Well I guess the next time you will be hearing from us it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas!! How fast this year has flown!

Thanksgiving....
How sad.. this year we are going to be spending Thanksgiving alone in Oregon.. I have to plan a menu for 2. It's going to be a sad Thanksgiving. And we don't have a microwave or oven so this should be awesome.. We will probably be eating out NICE that afternoon.. and I don't mean at our house haha. I guess we do have a lot of things to be grateful for but it's not the same without my big, loud, insane family eating together. :(

Ok I'm in love with these
So I've become OBSESSED with crafts and craft blogs so when I came across this blog I just about died. If you know me you know I LOVE LOVE LOVE chocolate cake. I'm the biggest fan of it hands down. These are the best ideas for little kid's parties or even grow up parties. I just want to make millions of them although I know I would eat all of them.

Holidays and Arizona
We will be flying out to Arizona on Monday 16th and I couldn't be happier!! We have only been here a little over a month but I'm such a homebody that it makes it hard being away for a long time. Plus I miss my adorable little niece Ava and can't wait to snuggle her to death!! We are driving our Ford Focus back up to Oregon so we won't be stranded anymore and have to walk in the rain to buy groceries!! Thank goodness!
I have a really sad feeling about the holidays this year.. It's the first time we will be alone on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am in love with the holidays and spending them with family like I've done my ENTIRE life so this year is going to be a hard one for me. I am grateful I have Chase though because even though he hates Christmas and the music he lets me listen to it and watch Christmas movies already. He lets me celebrate and doesn't complain about it either so I'm glad I have him for that. I just can't wait to get a tree!!! YAY! Love Christmas and wish it would come sooner.

The Dreaded Van
SO.................. the van.. the nasty, stupid, ridiculous van. UGH!!!
So it started having problems when we got into California on our move up here to Oregon. It started to overheat when we slowed down so we figured it was just the face that we had been driving for 4 hours straight without stopping so we pulled over and waited for like an hour.. and this continued to happen every time we slowed down. The temperature gauge would sky rocket and white smoke would come out the back(because the engine is in the back in VW's) and you could hear the coolant start to boil. It was a freakin mess and it caused our 11 hour drive to San Francisco turn into a 15 hour drive.. in weather that was insane. Hail, rain, 50 MPH wind, sand storms, and dense fog. Awesome.
Once we got into Oregon and let the car rest for a day it seemed fine until about a week into living here, the van had a really hard time starting. We figured because it was so much colder here than AZ that was the problem, until it started dying once we started it. We'd start it and it would chug and then die. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Needless to say it was obnoxious. So we took it into Sears Auto because it's literally across the street from us and so we could walk back and forth while it was being worked on. Well $500 later they tell us they "hopefully" fixed the problem. We started driving back home from the mall, which is about 5 minutes away, and in the middle of driving the car DIED!! Completely dies. So we are stranded in a parking lot.
We finally make it home and call Sears the next day and they tell us to bring it back in. So we do and they take a look and drive it around and say we can't find anything here try to drive it again and see what happens. We drive home and it seems fine so we decide it's time to take a trip to do laundry at the laundromat which is 5 minutes away too, everything is extremely close together here. We get about a block away and, yep you guessed it, the van dies. The guy from Sears comes out to take a look at it because now the car won't start AT ALL. He looks and says oh it must be the fuel pump has died and you aren't getting any gas to the engine.. (which I thought was the problem in the first place, not bad for a girl haha:)
We tow the van home and immediately put it for sale on craigslist. BAM!!! Within a few hours we have 2 calls. They come look and say they will call us back. Whatever. Liars. Within 2 days of putting it on craigslist we sold it for $2500 and now are looking at new cars. Thank goodness everything is so close that we can walk or ride our bikes.
Moral of the story: NEVER BUY A VOLKSWAGON!

Job.
So I got a job. Finally. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to work again. I will be working at a store in the mall here called Justice. It's a store like Limited Too for girl's clothes. Cute stuff for little girls! I'm just so grateful to have a job in these times. It was supposed to be seasonal but the lady wants me to stay on permanently. YAY! Well that's really the only thing to update right now. Oregon is a blast!

OREGON!

So here we are in our new home, Oregon. We moved into a little apartment with a 6 month lease and are loving it. Everything is so different from Arizona.. There are sooo many one-way streets and you can turn left on red lights. It's weird getting used to but its a beautiful place to live. The weather is amazing as well. It's not like the Oregon that everyone has described to us, you know all the rain and no sun. It has only rained twice since we've been here and the clouds clear everyday around noon. It is starting to feel a lot more like fall though with the highs only in the 50's . We are so excited about our new home!! I have a few prospects for jobs and we are waiting for the holidays to be over before Chase starts looking in case the company decides they don't need him after the holidays are over. We are loving every minute of Oregon!!!
