San Francisco!!

Well we made it to Oregon finally after a trip to remember. We left on early early Tuesday morning and made it about 80 miles outside of LA and the Van decided that it would like to overheat and make us stop and wait for 45 minutes. So after that we had to stop every hour to let the car cool down before we could get on the road again. Luckily, we made it safely to our hotel in Livermore, CA about 20 minutes outside of San Francisco. We met up with one of Chase's closest friends, Tomas, who lives there and spent some time with him. He showed us around the city and it was awesome!!

Our journey began at Pier 39 in San Fran and it was

amazing! The pier was covered in the coolest little shops and restaurants that had some BOMB food. We ate huge bread bowls of Clam Chowder fresh from the ocean. Next we went to Haight Ashbury where the Summer of Love happened in 1967. It was the most amazing place to be. I could live there forever and be happy. The houses were beautiful and the people were super nice and friendly. We ate the most delicious pita and hummus from some tiny cafe. After that we all went to Berkeley and ate some incredible sushi near Cal State University. We watched a student create some amazing pictures with just spray paint. It was super cool to watch him free hand all these pictures.

We left for Oregon on Thursday morning and got to Medford early evening. We love it here. The weather is perfect and the city is so much like Pinetop. The trees are changing colors and the scenery everywhere is beautiful. If you have never been here I highly recommend visiting. We are looking for jobs and housing and have some prospects. We need to figure out w

hat ward we will be in and where the church house is. We are so blessed to be here and pray that we find good paying jobs in these hard times. Keep us in your prayers.
